On Point Acupuncture

An important feature to the 5 branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine is its inclusion of meditation and movement. As a Licensed Acupuncturist, Kerry Jenni is trained in the practice of Tai Chi and Qi Gong and often includes suggestions for them within her comprehensive treatments.

Tai Chi

A fluid movement exercise, tai chi can be practiced by anyone. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, tai chi helps to move the body’s Qi and Blood. It’s slow movement provide a wonderful exercise for seniors. By utilizing the intrinsic muscles of the body (very small muscles between larger ones) tai chi helps to circulate the blood in joint that may be or become arthritic.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is an internal meditation with methods emphasizing the coordination of intention, Qi, body and shen (or spirit). The meridians used for acupuncture are often incorporated while practitioners focus on moving energy along them. Kerry provides a deeper insight into your acupuncture treatment by explaining the pathways utilized. She invites you to participate in your health and healing with meditation during your treatment if you chose.
