to accompany your acupuncture treatments. Kerry Jenni has spent years researching
the highest quality herbs possible and only sources herbal companies that
are regularly tested for heavy metals and pesticides to meet California’s
and the FDA’s high purity standards.
Kerry recommends only Chinese herbs manufactured in G.M.P. certified facilities and free of animal and dairy products, artificial colors, sweeteners or preservatives. The herbs are free of soy, wheat and yeast. Kerry recommends Organic Pagoda herbs (www.organicpagoda.com) for O.F.D.C. and I.F.O.A.M. certified ORGANIC Chinese herbs.
Traditional
Chinese Medicine, with rare exception, solely utilizes herbs in formulation.
As opposed to one herb equals one condition, herbal formulas provide a balance,
treating the symptoms, the cause and balancing the body to increase prevention.
This holistic approach to herbalism reduces side effects from over stimulating
one singular system in the body.
Chinese herbal formulas are often available in raw forms to make teas, tinctures, and granules. Kerry Jenni solely recommends herbs in pill form in order to increase her patient’s compliance and convenience for taking your formula. Most formulas are traditional formulas, with histories of usage of thousands of years. Kerry may modify your formula by pairing multiple formulas to customize an herbal regimen for each patient.
Herbal consultations
are included with acupuncture treatments but may be provided independently
as well. An herbal consultation is 30 minutes, during which time Kerry will
make a diagnosis by talking to you, feeling your pulses, and looking at
your tongue.
